Alright everyone, new blog post time!
I know - you're excited, I'm excited, we're all just thrilled to be here. I totally forgot these existed but they're such a good way of getting a glimpse into a wedding day so it's about time I started sharing some more.
First up, one of my favourite recent weddings - Alex and Aayushi's big day in my home city of Bristol! They decided to go as chill and stress-free as possible and man, did they succeed. I'm talking impromptu-photos on Turbo Island (one for you Bristol regulars out there) and making a stop to visit a China homeware store to get some gifts in the middle of the couple's photoshoot levels of chill.
Aayushi started her day getting ready at her place with her mum and sister, wearing stunning saris that made them look like royalty. Meanwhile, Alex was chilling at his house with his best man Chip, taking the time to pose with some airsoft guns looking like he didn't have a stress in the world. We even had time for some super fun photos before heading to the ceremony!
The ceremony itself was at the famous Bristol Registry Office, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful registry office in the country. Keeping it intimate with just 10 guests there to share the moment, it was a lovely and smooth marriage ceremony. The officiant was fantastic, keeping the whole thing light and with lots of laughter. I need to find their name next time, I will report back if I ever find him. It was clear though that everyone could feel the love between the lovely bride and groom.
After the ceremony, Alex and Aayushi headed over to Nadu, an amazing Sri Lankan restaurant in Stokes Croft, their favourite area of Bristol and a place they've lived in and cherished for years. And let me tell you, the food was out of this world, and the atmosphere was just perfect for celebrating their big day.
The speeches were hilarious and heartfelt, filled with inside jokes and touching moments from parents, sister, friends and the groom himself. Opting for a curated Spotify playlist instead of a DJ worked a treat, and after an incredibly touching first dance they were rocking up the dance floor late into the night.
Overall, Alex and Aayushi's wedding was an absolute blast, and I'm so honoured that I got to be a part of it. They're such a special couple, and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
