At this stage, the vast majority of my weddings had been in the countryside - so it was a pleasure to shoot the gorgeous Bristolian wedding of Michael and Yi. The registry office was by far the fanciest I've ever been to, and the hotel and reception were both easy walking distance away. It definitely makes things easier!
Michael and Yin were wonderful. Right from the offset, as I was snapping some quiet candids outside the registry office, Yin noticing the camera and shifted to formally pose instantly, with back straight, one leg forwards and everything. Ah, I thought, so she's a model. How useful.
She later nervously confessed to me that she was actually really awkward in front of a camera, but had been doing a lot of research to try and do it right. Well, the two of you absolutely nailed it, and I can't wait to send you the rest of your album!
